Sasha had a fantastic Christmas playing with her half-sister, Charm, and her adopted little brother, Torren. She didn't enjoy her bath so much after the day of play, but ah well. Both dogs were exhausted by the time they got home.

Sasha started her first heat! 8.5 months, an early bloomer, my baby girl is all grown up! *sniffles* Now, to protect her from those BAD boys! ;)

NEW SISTER!

So yesterday we went and picked up a new sister for Sasha, her half sister Charm! I think they're going to be the best of friends! She's HUUUGEE! 6 months old and 60 lbs. She's also very STRONG! Now, to make Sasha gain some weight so she can keep up with her! LOL! :)

December update

Sasha is getting more and more beautiful each day! She looks JUST like her mom! On the 18th of this month she will be 7.5 months old. She is 52 lbs, and has a lot of growing to do!

Just found out she has the bad kind of demodex. I was hoping to breed her, but that isn't possible now. It's okay though, because we LOVE our baby girl no matter what!

Sasha's first snow

On December 11 Sasha experienced her first snow. BOY did she LOVE it! This is the first time it's snowed down here in Baton Rouge in about 7-8 years!

Sasha update October!

SO much has happened! I've been ignoring this blog too long! (oi!) Sasha was diagnosed with demodex mange a few weeks ago. It has been a battle. It's FINALLY letting up (as you can see) and we're all SO relieved! (PHEW!) She lost most of the hair on her face, the poor baby!

Took some new pictures today! She LOVES her toys! The weather has been SO nice this past week. If only it would stay like this... :P

She lives with my mom now. I think she's really happy with the arrangement. She now has a "basket of toys" that are hers for the taking, and take them she does! (as you can see from the pics)

Can't wait to have her all to myself (feeling greedy, and loving it :P ) Also can't wait till I get a little boy shiloh to keep her company :)

Life.. though busy, is good.

First vet visit!

Sasha had her first vet visit today. She did absolutely WONDERFUL! She didn't even yelp when she got her shots or microchips. I love my baby girl so much! GOOO SASHA!!! :) She even took a nap on the table in-between shots. hehe.

Today was the first day Sasha and I really had some one-on-one. It was very nice. Hope to do it more often :)

Meeting Grandma

Stopped by my mom's house today. She was very taken aback by how calm she is for a pup. I love her laid-back attitude. She got along very well with all the "little yappers" over there. My mom seemed a bit anxious to keep her for a bit. Hehe. I love my little girl!

Dog Park!

So yesterday was Sasha's first trip to the dog park! There were about eight dogs there when we got there, so to say she was overwhelmed by the welcoming crew would be an understatement! She did very well, though. She had her hackles raised a bit, but she didn't run or growl or snap. She slowly introduced herself to the people there, but didn't show too much interest in the dogs (other than being frightened a bit). Hopefully this will change soon. I'm sure with all the socialization she's getting at PetSmart it will be better in no time.

I plan on taking her to the dog park again this Thursday. Hopefully she will be a little more open to the idea of playing.

Strangest thing: She doesn't seem to know HOW to play with people or dogs. Thinking this is just because she is still trying to adjust. Hopefully I'm right.

The day Sasha came home. Boy was it a ride! A race against hurricane Gustav! We made it back in time! Only a few hours to spare before the whirlwind started. She didn't seem to mind at all!
